Moms Who Care, Inc. was founded in 2020 by three friends-Aisha, Deborah, and Sabine-all with backgrounds in early childhood education. Their mission is to promote the importance of reading aloud at home and to ensure that all children have access to books that reflect their interests, cultures, and languages. They also advocate for providing young readers with diverse books on topics like mental wellness, sustainability, and different cultures to foster inclusion and understanding.
Our organization is currently led by a passionate team of women with expertise in special education, literacy, speech and language development, and child welfare. We proudly promote literacy across New York through our engaging Readers to Leaders Workshops, book distributions, and read-aloud events at local daycares and libraries. By providing families with books and helpful resources, we make reading time both fun and meaningful. Our dedicated board members and volunteers love collaborating with community partners to spread the joy and importance of literacy!
