Moms Who Care, Inc. was founded in 2020 by three moms Aisha, Deborah and Sabine. These three friends, who all have a background in early childhood education, felt it was important to promote the benefits of literacy and reading aloud at home to the youngest of children. Reading is a right and all children should have access to books that appeal to their interests as well as their cultural and linguistic backgrounds. In addition, young readers should have access to books that cover a variety of topics such as mental wellness, sustainability, and cultures different from their own to support inclusion and tolerance.
Currently, our organization is run by a team of dedicated moms with backgrounds in education, literacy and speech and language development. We proudly promote literacy in the New York area through our fun and interactive Readers to Leaders Workshops. We want to make sure families have books to read with their children along with information to make reading time impactful.
